Evangelism Outreach Ministries is devoted to the preaching of the Gospel, discipling the nations, and building up and edifying the Body of Christ, the Church, the Children of God. Below are some valuable resources that can be selected at the click of the mouse. The information provided at these sites have proven to be very helpful for the study and application of Scripture. We would caution against reading just any Bible version or commentary. Be selective in the fear of the Lord, and choose wisely. We highly value and recommend reading either the King James Bible (KJV) or English Standard Version (ESV) in order to guard against confusion that often arises from the hundreds of options available, some of which are very egregious. In addition, it very important to be selective in choosing what reading material to use as a reference for Bible Study and Sermon preparation. Below is a list of notable websites and resources that we highly recommend. They include:

Bible Gateway is easy-to-use and provides many valuable resources for the Bible student and theologian. Scripture can be read and compared with many versions of the Bible. The site can also be searched by keyword. There is also a Read the Bible link that can be set up to provide prompts for daily Bible reading.

Blue Letter Bible provides an easy-to-use application for studying Scripture, including the ability to look up the meaning of words in Hebrew and Greek, along with Strong’s reference material. By entering a word or Scripture reference, the student or theologian can access various Bible versions, cross references, commentaries, dictionaries, and a whole lot more.

StudyLight.org is very useful for studying Scripture and reading Bible commentaries from faithful preachers such as John Calvin, John Gill, Matthew Henry, and Charles Spurgeon. They also have Concordances, Dictionaries, Encyclopedias, Historical Writings (Josephus, Foxe’s Martyrs, and Church History, etc), and Language Studies.
Historic Confessions of the Faith
We believe that it is important for each generation of Christians to remember their Christians heritage. Men of old fought the controversies of their day with the Word of God and have left the below resources to assist believers, to strengthen the church and avoid being beguiled by old heresies. Scripture is the sole infallible rule for faith, life and doctrine, but we see the historic confessions as tools to assist in the building up of sound doctrine. All things, including these confessions, must be tested by Scripture.
- 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith
- Westminster Confession of Faith – Though we ascribe to believer’s water baptism by immersion, we have a high regard for our Presbyterian brothers and sisters in Christ.
Ancient Jewish & Church History
Ancient Jewish & Church History is often a subject matter for Bible study enthusiasts and students, Theologians, and for those people in the work of the ministry that labor in the Word of God for the edification of the Body of Christ. There are many reasons why it’s so vitally important to know Ancient Jewish & Church History, some of which include:
- Tracing the lineage of and prophecies pertaining to Christ (Messiah, Anointed One), from the Book of Genesis through the Book of Revelation.
- Broader perspective and context of the life and times of Old and New Testament Prophets, Priests, and Kings, as well as heroes of the faith, and the lives and influence of godly women.
- History of the Bible, getting to know the Canon of Scripture and how all the Books of the Bible were put together, as well as gaining a deeper understanding of the men who wrote Scripture under inspiration of the Holy Spirit.
- History of the Doctrines of Christ and how those doctrines were identified, and knowing how they apply even today in the world.
- Broader perspective and context of the life and times, as well as the work, of those men of the faith (Elect) that have gone before us, including Christian Martyrs, some of the Early Church fathers, Theologians, pastors, teachers, and evangelists whose work continues to influence the church today.
- Learn the origins of the Roman Catholic Church (RCC), and how the RCC has influenced Christianity as we know it today, including the travesty of the Crusades and Inquisitions, as well as the egregious nature of the Ecumenical Movement.
- Gaining an appreciation for Ancient Jewish & Church History in order to learn from the past and keep from making some of the same mistakes that have occurred.

Recommended Puritan Literature
One of the enormous blessings bestowed upon the Church of the Living God is the writings of the Puritans and other notable Theologians. In such a time as we find ourselves in world history, what a blessing it is to read their writings and to learn about Scripture in such a way as to grow deeper in knowledge and understanding of the Word of God.
