The MacArthur New Testament Commentary is a valuable resource for the studying and historical background of Scripture. The exposition of Scripture is such that the doctrine of Christ is clearly taught in an easy to read format. As with any author, care must be given to ensure that one rightly divides the word of truth in the fear of God. While there are areas of disagreement in the commentaries, especially in the area of Eschatology and the gifts of the Holy Spirit, the commentary is a very useful resource for students of the Bible and preachers who prepare sermons.
